Resumo: In this work it was made a bibliographical research with the intention of evidencing the close relation that the psychoanalytical clinic has with the field of language. The psychoanalysis could only be constituted when Freud understood that the speech should be the main instrumet to reach what he understood as the cure to the neurotic symptons. From this his new method could be constructed over his work. Jacques Lacan took for himself the assignment to make this relation explicit, pointing out all the importance that it has for the efficiency of the psychonalytical clinic. Because of this, it was chosen to demonstrate this importance through three ways: the language in the construction of the psychonalysis as a theory, the repetition as an effect of the signifier and the speech as the instrument for the clinical handling, creating the possibility for the advent of the act of the subject as a new way to treat his anguish

A psicanálise só pode ser constituída conforme Freud entendeu que a fala deveria ser o principal instrumento para alcançar aquilo que entendia como a cura dos sintomas neuróticos. A partir disso é que seu novo método pôde ser construído ao longo de sua obra. Jacques Lacan tomou para si o papel de explicitar essa relação, apontando toda a importância que essa possui para a eficácia da clínica psicanalítica.
