This dissertation investigates the relationship between the act of adolescents in psychoanalysis. Initially we present an approach of the conceptual definition of adolescence and its constitution by identification and sexuality. That constitution is close connected to the sexual drive and to the anguish, primal affection of a tension in the narcissistic field indicating the presence of the drive object of satisfaction as not specular which splits the subject between desire and anguish. This object involved with anguish and drive, in psychoanalysis, is defined by Lacan as the object a, a singular object of drive satisfaction of every human being. We believe that the structure of the adolescent subject has a close relationship with the anguish since it evokes a conflict between identification in the sexual field made possible through the drive object that characterizes the desire. Therefore, the adolescent ability to choose the act can be understood as a structural feature of the subject, who tries to stand a safe distance from the field of identification and that of the desire. By these acts the adolescents often take risks and break the unconscious desiring work. To approach the different ways in which each subject can deal with anguish, at that particular time of life, we will work on the clinical aspects named acting out and passage to the act. Finally, we present three clinical cases that were linked to the concepts of alienation and separation. As these concepts stand out the fundamental presence of identification and of the anguish object, as well as they concern to the subject constitution, we believe they support our hypothesis about the adolescent dexterity and readiness for the act
