Ética ambiental aplicada: o uso do compliance como ferramenta de integridade ambiental

Environmental preservation and conservation are issues present in society, but they are not always feasible since such an agenda is not an object of interest to most organizations. This lack of interest, in addition to the daily and expected pollution, has already caused, throughout history, even recent, several disasters that caused considerable damage to the environment and to human beings. The investigation initially analyzed Ethics in its criteria for decision making, specifically in the history of authors of Environmental Ethics and the possibility of changing the deontological point of view to a more consequentialist and teleological ethics, as an axiological criterion for the management of Environmental Integrity. On the other hand, the research on cases of serious environmental disasters in Brazil and in the world allowed, from the expert conclusions about them, that the disasters had causes similar to those that generate acts of corruption, which allowed to conclude that the breach of Integrity in the environmental field has the same type of cause and effect in the breaches of legal integrity that generate corruption. As is already common knowledge and with scientific evidence, acts of corruption are fought through practices that reinforce integrity called compliance. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to present Environmental Ethics and propose a change in its perspective, from deontological to teleological, to demonstrate reasons why environmental preservation and conservation are advantageous for companies, and finally a protocol based on compliance was developed. for the implementation of monitoring of effective environmental integrity programs in the Organizations, not only having identified a problem, but also presented a solution.
