Resumo: This research has as its theme the relationship between the production and the reading of the photographic text with the teaching and learning processes. The study sought to answer the following questions: how do 6th year experimental students in a public school learn from the production and analysis of photographs? How can photography contribute to a transdisciplinary approach to learning? The theoretical foundation was structured around the notions of: (I) image-mediated learning (VYGOTSKY, 1999; OLIVEIRA, 1993; BAKTHIN, 2006; JOLY, 2006) and transdisciplinary learning (JAPIASSU, 2001; NICOLESCU, 1999) and methodology adopted was the action research method, which values the cognitive construction of the experience, supported by collective critical reflection, with a view to the emancipation of the participants (FRANCO, 2005). For the collection of data, photographic production workshops were carried out during school activities with the use of cell phones and other similar activities. The entire process was recorded in a field diary. With the objective: to understand the learning process from a transdisciplinary perspective in a 6th experimental year class from the production of student photographs, the research results revealed that thinking about the mediation of learning in the transdisciplinary perspective paves and expands the paths of the methodologies of teaching and learning processes. The research resulted in the educational product: ―Photography and Learning in the 6th Experimental Year in the Transdisciplinary Perspective‖, designed to dialogue with teachers in their daily practice, the didactic material gathers 12 activities to be developed in the classroom.

O estudo buscou responder às seguintes questões: como alunos do 6º ano experimental em uma escola pública aprendem a partir da produção e análise de fotografias? De que maneira a fotografia pode contribuir para uma abordagem transdisciplinar da aprendizagem? A fundamentação teórica se estruturou em torno das noções de: (I) aprendizagem mediada por imagem (VYGOTSKY, 1999; OLIVEIRA, 1993; BAKTHIN, 2006; JOLY, 2006) e aprendizagem transdisciplinar (JAPIASSU, 2001; NICOLESCU, 1999) e a metodologia adotada foi o método da pesquisa-ação, que valoriza a construção cognitiva da experiência, sustentada por reflexão crítica coletiva, com vistas à emancipação dos participantes (FRANCO, 2005). Para a coleta de dados foram realizadas durante as atividades escolares oficinas de produção fotográfica com o uso do celular e outras atividades afins. Todo o processo foi registrado em diário de campo. Tendo como objetivo: compreender o processo de aprendizagem em uma perspectiva transdisciplinar em uma turma do 6º ano experimental a partir da produção discente de fotografias, os resultados da pesquisa revelaram que pensar a mediação da aprendizagem na perspectiva transdisciplinar pavimenta e amplia os caminhos das metodologias de ensino e os processos de aprendizagem.
