Resumo: The present paper seeks to approach, in the contemporary art production, the artistic languages of performance art and photography, more specifically the possible relations between both. From the encounter between these two expressions, institutionalised in the 20th century, emerges the photoperformance. A large number of visual productions presented throughout this text follows this expression. This research is also a set of reflections related to creative processes that develops from a personal relationship and other factors present in varying contexts geographical, social, political or affective also from the experiences lived in art collectives, artistic residencies and performance festivals. Contemporary artists and thinkers are referred, in order to contribute to the understanding of the potentialities of the concepts addressed in this research. Do encontro entre as duas expressões artísticas, institucionalizadas no século XX, origina-se a fotoperformance, linguagem em que se baseia grande parte das produções visuais apresentadas ao longo do texto que segue. Esta pesquisa constitui, também, um conjunto de reflexões relacionadas a processos de criação que se desenvolvem a partir de relações pessoais e de fatores presentes em contextos variados sejam eles geográficos, sociais, políticos ou afetivos como, por exemplo, as vivências em coletivos de arte, as residências artísticas e os festivais de performance. Artistas e pensadores contemporâneos são referidos, de modo a contribuir no entendimento das potencialidades dos conceitos abordados nesta pesquisa.
