This dissertation is a study about the trajectory of women with HIV in health care in the Perinatal Center of the Hospital Universitário Pedro Ernesto. The objective was to identify social determinants in the intersectionality of gender, sexuality, social class, race, sexuality, among others that interfere in the health / illness process of pregnant / postpartum women with HIV who visit the University Hospital Pedro Ernesto for follow - natal or childbirth. This study was based on the hypothesis that although it is recommended by several legislations (PAISM, SUS, PNAISM), in practice, the integral approach to the health of women with HIV is not effective, remaining the focus of the actions during the reproductive period. The methodology used was qualitative, based on the critical-dialectic method and was developed in the Perinatal Nucleus of Pedro Ernesto University Hospital, based on interviews with women diagnosed with positive serology for HIV who were attended at the Perinatal Nucleus of the HUPE. The results pointed out that the social reality lived by the participants of this research is marked by the naturalization of the economic, racial and gender/sexuality inequalities, making them although they struggle daily resisting all these crossings sometimes they can not make a conjunctural reading of the whole context of Your lives. The research also observed that although not all of them were diagnosed during the puerperal pregnancy period, it is at this moment that the health services compose their stories, confirming the hypothesis that their access is based on this period. In this context, it points out the need to ensure that women's health care is guaranteed.
