Resumo: In this article we want to do an existential analysis on the essence of the act of studying in the confrontation with the current reality of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT"™s) in which students and educators are inserted. Fernando Pessoa, Pascal, Hölderlin, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche and Heidegger were poets and philosophers who helped us think about what implies the study life in hi-tech age. In this tidal wave of entertainment, this tsunami of information that devastate us and sometimes afflict us, how to navigate on the internet, in the virtual world, without getting ourselves off down, without we sinking in the effective life?

Fernando Pessoa, Pascal, Hölderlin, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche e Heidegger foram os poetas e filósofos que nos ajudaram a pensar sobre o que implica a vida de estudo na era hi-tech.
