Resumo: This article aims to draw a parallel between Schiller and Nietzsche through an aspect common to both: the influence of aesthetic impulses on humanity, and the consequences for Western culture from the rupture of these impulses. By analysing the anthropological and historical resumption that our philosophers made of ancient Greece and the Greek tragedies, we examine how their critiques of aesthetics, philosophy and humanity in Modernity have some characteristics that bring them together. Through the sensible and formal impulses in Schiller and the apollinic and dionysian impulses in Nietzsche we seek to demonstrate how rationalism, to a certain extent, harmed the formation of humanity and how the performance of these impulses in their fullness made possible the representation of the being as a multiple unit and in constant movement.

Analisando a retomada antropológica e histórica que nossos filósofos fizeram da Grécia antiga e das tragédias gregas, examinamos como as críticas que eles teceram à estética, à filosofia e à humanidade na Modernidade possuem algumas características que os aproximam.
