Resumo: The article aims to show how Rawls's critique of Nietzsche's perfectionism is a danger to democracy, that is, how the principle of reasonability in a society of free and equal aims at political stability as progress, an advance towards a pacifying goal. In the article we will present the problem proposed by Rawls, then we will analyze Nietzsche's considerations in Schopenhauer as an Educator and his positions regarding geniuses and saints. One point further, we will discuss Homero-type propositions and the way of love for the life of the Ancient Greeks. These three initial topics help to introduce, as well as assess the vicissitudes of Rawls' assertions in the sense that we take a position as to the guarantees of such a magnanimous stability for the current liberal democracies. In fact, the course and the foundations of this great liberal society, are values which would be worthwhile to continue betting on as a support for a democratically more mature and just society.

No artigo apresentaremos o problema proposto por Rawls, em seguida analisaremos as considerações de Nietzsche em Schopenhauer como Educador e suas posições acerca dos gênios e santos. Um ponto à frente discutiremos as proposições do tipo Homero e a forma de amor à vida dos Gregos Antigos. Estes três tópicos iniciais ajudam a introduzir, assim como avaliar as vicissitudes das assertivas de Rawls no sentido de tomarmos uma posição quanto às garantias de uma estabilidade tão magnânima para as atuais democracias liberais.
