Acoustic signal x writing information in the perception of the melody variation

Resumo: In this article we investigate the action of the hearing and the vision in the perception of melodic variations proceeding written words whose semantic loads reference to the attitudes of the speaks and the ways to say, considered, therefore, as prosodic markers of the writing. We accomplish perception test that consisted on the presentation of written texts synchronized speak out read of these texts without coincidence between written information and melodic variation. The results show that, for these prosodic markers, in this experimental condition, the perception of the melodic variations occur predominantly from the acoustic signal, not having interference of the written information.KEYWORD: Acoustic signal. Visual information.Neste artigo busca-se investigar a ação da audição e da visão na percepção de variações melódicas provenientes de palavras escritas cujas cargas semânticas fazem referências às atitudes dos falantes e aos modos de dizer, sendo consideradas, portanto, como marcadores prosódicos da escrita. Para tanto, foi realizado um teste de percepção que contou com a apresentação, a onze sujeitos, de textos escritos, sincronizada gravação da leitura oral desses textos sem coincidência entre informação escrita e variação melódica (condição de mismatch). Os resultados encontrados mostram que, para esses marcadores prosódicos, nessa condição experimental, a percepção das variações melódicas ocorre predominantemente a partir do sinal acústico, não havendo interferência da informação escrita.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Sinal acústico.
