Medium and ethical worlds: notes on the construction of the Observatório da Literatura Digital Brasileira

Resumo: In this article, we articulate what Régis Debray defines as medium to a notion proposed by Maingueneau in his studies of the discursive ethos: ethical worlds. It is a matter of detailing what can be understood by values, beliefs and imaginary, terms as necessary as opaque when they appear to describe the effects of meaning that operate in the so called order of the sensitiveness. The hypothesis is that technical issues are at the heart of this operation and that, if we consider the inscriptions of the speeches in tangible materialities, we can better explain the distribution of the discourses in a given social organization and the institutional functions that authorize it. To this end, the concept of hypergender will be mobilized in order to present a case: the project that creates the Observatório da Literatura Digital Brasileira is the trigger for the reflection on “digital literature”, a rubric under construction.

Se trata de detallar lo que se puede entender por valores, creencias e imaginarios, términos tan necesarios como opacos cuando utilizados para describir efectos de sentido que operan en el orden de lo sensible. La hipótesis es que las cuestiones técnicas están en el centro de esta operación y que, si consideramos las inscripciones de los discursos en materialidades tangibles, podemos explicar mejor la distribución de los dichos en una determinada organización social y las funciones institucionales que la autorizan. Se movilizará el concepto de hipergénero para presentar un caso en estudio: el proyecto de creación del Observatório da Literatura Digital Brasileira es el detonanteNeste artigo, articulamos o que Régis Debray define como mídium a uma noção proposta por Dominique Maingueneau em seus estudos do ethos discursivo: mundos éticos. Trata-se de detalhar o que se pode entender por valores, crenças e imaginários, termos tão necessários quanto opacos quando aparecem para descrever efeitos de sentido que operam na ordem do sensível. A hipótese é que as questões técnicas estão no centro dessa operação e que, se consideramos as inscrições dos discursos em materialidades tangíveis, podemos explicar melhor a distribuição dos dizeres numa dada organização social e os funcionamentos institucionais que a autorizam.
