The reality of High School in the field in the context of Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations

Resumo: Racism is one of the social problems that most interfere in the daily relationships of human beings, especially with regard to the black population. This problem implies serious consequences in the coexistence between people, generating the need for interventions to be carried out in social areas for awareness and mutual respect, recognizing and valuing racial differences. The Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations, which is based on Law 10.639 / 2003, is one of the bases for the ethnic-racial theme to be discussed at school as a way of combating retrograde practices of racism and ideologies of race superiority. This case study, carried out in the interior of Bahia in high school, aimed to understand how the ethnic-racial approach has been in the environment and its influence on the daily lives of those involved. It was observed that students and educators have different perceptions about the treatment of black people in the school environment; that the school has not made significant inferences about the theme; that knowledge about the guidelines for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations is lacking; among others. From the findings, it appears that educational interventions and professional training are lacking for a discursive and practical approach on racial issues in the environment.   Keywords: Education; High school; Race Relations; Racism.

El racismo es uno de los problemas sociales que más interfieren en las relaciones cotidianas de los seres humanos, especialmente con respecto a la población negra. Este problema implica serias consecuencias en la convivencia entre las personas, generando la necesidad de realizar intervenciones en áreas sociales de sensibilización y respeto mutuo, reconociendo y valorando las diferencias raciales. La educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales, que se basa en la Ley 10.639 / 2003, es una de las bases del tema étnico-racial que se debatirá en la escuela como una forma de combatir las prácticas retrógradas del racismo y las ideologías de superioridad racial. Este estudio de caso, realizado en el interior de Bahía en la escuela secundaria, tenía como objetivo comprender cómo el enfoque étnico-racial ha sido en el medio ambiente y su influencia en la vida cotidiana de los involucrados. Se observó que los estudiantes y educadores tienen diferentes percepciones sobre el tratamiento de las personas negras en el entorno escolar; que la escuela no ha hecho inferencias significativas sobre el tema; falta conocimiento sobre las pautas para la Educación de las Relaciones Étnico-Raciales; entre otros. A partir de los hallazgos, parece que faltan intervenciones educativas y capacitación profesional para un enfoque discursivo y práctico sobre cuestiones raciales en el medio ambiente.   Palabras clave: educación; Escuela secundaria; Relaciones raciales; Racismo O racismo é um dos problemas sociais que mais interferem nas relações cotidianas do ser humano, principalmente, no que diz respeito à população negra. Esse problema implica em sérias consequências no convívio entre as pessoas, gerando a necessidade de que intervenções sejam realizadas em âmbitos sociais para consciência e respeito mútuo, reconhecendo e valorizando diferenças raciais. A Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais, que tem como pilar a Lei 10.639/2003, é uma das bases para que a temática étnico-racial possa ser discutida na escola como forma de combate à práticas retrogradas de racismo e ideologias de superioridade de raças. Esse estudo de caso, realizado no interior da Bahia no Ensino Médio, teve como objetivo entender como tem sido a abordagem étnico-racial no ambiente e sua influência no cotidiano dos envolvidos. Observou-se que alunos e educadores têm percepções diferentes sobre o tratamento despendido ao negro no ambiente escolar; que a escola não tem feito inferências significativas sobre a temática; que falta conhecimento sobre as diretrizes para a Educação das Relações Étnico-Raciais; dentre outros. A partir dos achados verifica-se que faltam intervenções educacionais e formação profissional para abordagem discursiva e prática sobre a temática racial no ambiente.
