Resumo: This paper presents a methodological proposal for the teaching-learning process of exponential function, based on Raymond Duval's Theory of Semiotic Representation Registers, for the procedure of global interpretation of the sketch of curves of exponential functions. This strategy seeks a broader look to the study of the object of knowledge in the graphical representation of exponential curves, compared to the point-to-point approach conventionally used in its study in high school contexts, since the sketch is understood as a representation of an object described by an algebraic expression. The global figural interpretation allows to establish connections of mathematical representations between the algebraic and graphical registers, so that it is perceived the links between both, while highlighting the dual representation of the same mathematical object, with different contents and meanings.

Esta estrategia busca una mirada más amplia al estudio del objeto de conocimiento en la representación gráfica de las curvas exponenciales, en comparación con el enfoque punto a punto utilizado convencionalmente en su estudio en contextos de bachillerato, ya que el croquis se entiende como una representación de un objeto descrito por una expresión algebraica. La interpretación figural global permite establecer conexiones de las representaciones matemáticas entre los registros algebraico y gráfico, de modo que se perciben los vínculos entre ambos, a la vez que se muestra la doble representación de un mismo objeto matemático, con contenidos y significados diferentes.Este artigo apresenta uma proposta metodológica para o processo ensino-aprendizagem de função exponencial, com base na Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semiótica de Raymond Duval, para o procedimento de interpretação global do esboço de curvas de funções exponenciais. Essa estratégia busca um olhar mais amplo para o estudo do objeto de conhecimento na representação gráfica de curvas exponenciais, em comparação com a abordagem ponto a ponto convencionalmente utilizada em seu estudo em contextos de Ensino Médio, uma vez que o traçado é compreendido como representação de um objeto descrito por uma expressão algébrica.
