Resumo: The motivation for choosing the topic was due to the perception that many times, upon completing high school, there was still no decision on professional choices. There are several elements determine the choices of young people and, thus, offer subsidies for teachers to guide their classes in order to help their students in these choices. The perception that young people sometimes carry out cultural activities that can promote the maturation of their understanding of the importance of having competence for future professional choices with the help of the school. It justifies the need to identify, among the different contexts, which factors can influence the choices of young people and/or can contribute to their reflection, so that the decisions taken regarding their vocation are the most conscious and guided by the right reasons. . High School is the ideal period to work this choice with students. The purpose of this research is to collect data regarding professional choice, having the school and the teacher as agents of this process, considering the social and cultural context that involves each institution.

La motivación para la elección del tema se debió a la percepción de que muchas veces, al finalizar el bachillerato, aún no había decisión sobre las elecciones profesionales. Hay varios elementos que determinan las elecciones de los jóvenes y, por lo tanto, ofrecen subsidios para que los profesores orienten sus clases con el fin de ayudar a sus alumnos en estas elecciones. La percepción de que los jóvenes a veces realizan actividades culturales que pueden promover la maduración de su comprensión de la importancia de tener competencias para futuras elecciones profesionales con la ayuda de la escuela. Justifica la necesidad de identificar, entre los diferentes contextos, qué factores pueden influir en las elecciones de los jóvenes y/o pueden contribuir a su reflexión, para que las decisiones que se tomen respecto a su vocación sean las más conscientes y guiadas por las justas razones. La Secundaria es el período ideal para trabajar esta elección con los alumnos. El propósito de esta investigación es recolectar datos referentes a la elección profesional, teniendo a la escuela y al docente como agentes de este proceso, considerando el contexto social y cultural que envuelve a cada institución.  A motivação pela escolha do tema se deu devido à percepção de que muitas vezes ao concluir o ensino médio ainda não houve decisão de escolhas profissionais. São diversos os elementos que determinam as escolhas dos jovens e, assim, oferecer subsídios para professores orientarem suas aulas de forma a auxiliar seus alunos nessas escolhas. A percepção de que os jovens, por vezes, realizam atividades culturais que podem promover amadurecimento de sua compreensão sobre a importância de ter competência para as escolhas profissionais futuras com o auxílio da escola. Justifica-se a necessidade de identificar, entre os diversos contextos, que fatores podem influenciar as escolhas dos jovens e/ou podem contribuir para a sua reflexão, de modo que as decisões tomadas quanto a sua vocação sejam as mais conscientes e direcionadas pelos motivos certos. O Ensino Médio é o período ideal para se trabalhar essa escolha com os alunos.
