Resumo: Considering that many religious spaces such as seminaries, monasteries and monasteries are obsolete from their original function and considering that these facilities have great historical, cultural and architectural richness, very important in the sociological, economic and urban transformations. These places are considered with a strong tourist potential, being able to find in the hotel aid to enhance them. The objective of this study is to systematize the transformation of these religious spaces, analyzing the importance and relevance that tourism marketing has for this event. For the elaboration of the same, an exploratory and descriptive research of basic nature with the use of bibliographic procedure was carried out. A similar study was carried out by Aspres, A. L. (2017), who also sought the understanding and analysis of religious monuments that had altered their original function. In order to structure the process and reach an understanding of this transformation, the author establishes four criteria of analysis: authenticity, identity, operative action and function. Final considerations: Tourism in the religious space requires adaptations and appropriate content prioritizing its identity and authenticity since its structural transformation, as well as its dissemination, since these places have a strong historical, cultural and religious significance. In order to explore the promotion and enhancement of religious spaces, it is necessary to use appropriate marketing resources, so as not to de-characterize the symbolic and religious meaning of these places.

In order to explore the promotion and enhancement of religious spaces, it is necessary to use appropriate marketing resources, so as not to de-characterize the symbolic and religious meaning of these places.
