The culture of memes as a place of valuable meetings: a dialogical analysis of armamentist discourse

With a theoretical-methodological-analytical dialogue between the theory´s assumptions of the Bakhtin Circle and Cultural Studies, this article aims to problematize the discursive encounters that materialize in internet memes. With the epistemological proposition of culture as a constitutive and inseparable role of social relations (Hall, 1997), we present an exercise of hetero scientific analysis of armaments axiologies present in the referred genre, focusing on the study of their dialogical relations of meaning. In this proposal, we used the interpretative approach based on the collation of texts (Geraldi, 2012) to build the sustaining theoretical basis of this study and to promote the intersection of data from this research. From the dialogic principle of language, it was possible to probe the presence of social values of different spheres of representation, which find in the discursive culture of memes a fertile ground to imbricate or to disperse, a fact that points to the possibility of coexistence of immiscible consciences in this process of semiotizing the world.
