A seca no nordeste e os livros didáticos de geografia: uma análise a partir da Escola Estadual Watson Clementino de Gusmão Silva

We sought to make a theoretical review about what some authors say about the drought in the Northeast, contextualizing this phenomenon and its first occurrences, analyzing the assistance policies implemented by the government from the colonial period to the present day, we conducted an analysis of the textbooks of Geography of the Watson Clementino State School of Gusmão Silva, and from the analyzes we conducted a research with the students with the intention of pointing out and observing in the book and in the classroom if there is in the teaching of Geography the approach of the subject where they were contemplated 19 and that 144 students were interviewed through a qualitative-quantitative research where we could perceive the absence of the approach to the thematic of the drought in the Northeast or a mention of some aspects related to the drought but that put of generous form, without giving a good emphasis on issues such as the construction of DNOCS, the as an initial objective to provide a better living condition for the Northeastern through their projects, with the completion of the research it was possible to perceive how the students find themselves unrelated to some points of the interview where in some simple questions we obtained answers that do not match the truth.
