The alleged work aims to make an analysis of life, and political trajectory, the former governor of Alagoas Sebastião Marinho Muniz Falcão, which had its political trajectory started in 1950. As the main objective, it aims to show us the difficulties faced by him to enforce, the legitimacy of acquired rights, amid a predominantly oligarchic population. It also has the purpose of analyzing the conjuncture and the social and economic political aspects; at national and local level, since the fall of the monarchy, which culminated in the Proclamation of the Republic in 1889; the military coup of 1964. This work also shows us that in the midst of so many adversities, said former governor, Sebastião Marinho Muniz Falcão, manages to build a political career and a name that, even in a timid way, are still remembered today. It also shows us the importance that the work he carried out, in his management and function, exercised in the life of the population of Alagoas.To arrive at this analytical construction, was used of works, as that of Douglas Apratto Tenório; Cicero Péricles de Carvalho, in addition to other authors who, through the analysis of their works was able to obtain the essential elements, so that this work can be built up.
