Resumo: This Course Conclusion Paper (TCC) seeks to identify and characterize the public policies to combat child labour implemented during the pandemic in the city of Manaus. To this end, the conceptions of early work, the reduction of public policies and the prohibition of child labor will be presented and discussed. The research in question is aligned with scientific initiation projects and represents a first approach to the issue of banning child labor in the context of contemporary capitalism. It has a descriptive-explanatory character and uses the documentary and bibliographic method based on the category of totality and its general objective is to analyze the implementation of social policies in Manaus, aimed at combating the precocious work of children and adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to meet the general objective, we established the following specific objectives: a) to historically understand the prohibition of child labor through a bibliographic and documentary analysis of international regulations; b) to carry out a literature review of published works on the subject of child and adolescent labor in the Northern Region of Brazil; and, c) to identify actions, collect data and analyze the plans to combat child labor implemented in Manaus during the pandemic period, based on an analysis of the work plans presented by the Secretariat for Women, Social Assistance and Citizenship (SEMASC).The research made it possible to conclude that work is part of human development. Child labor serves as a tool for emancipation or alienation and exploitation and SEMASC's policies in the existing pandemic scenario are ongoing, except for the Manauara Aid Program, which was formulated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
