Resumo: The distribution process of petroleum derivatives, such as Diesel S500, in Brazil goes through distribution bases that base their performance on their main Key Perfomance Inicator (KPI), one of which is safety and optimization of its logistics. For this, it is essential that these bases have the appropriate structures and operations, in accordance with the best safety practices and national and international standards. This work seeks to study, present and discuss the dimensioning of critical equipment for a distribution base, including Storage Tanks, Loading Arms for Tank Trucks, Pipelines, Pumps and a Pressure Security Valve (PSV) to guarantee safety against overpressure. The basic parameters of construction and operation of each equipment will be described, highlighting the variables and sizing steps. All information will be unified and presented in a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), showing the interaction of the equipment in the process in a global way and guaranteeing the safety of the process.

Para isso, é fundamental que estas bases tenham as estruturas e operações adequadas, de acordo com as melhores práticas de segurança e as normas nacionais e internacionais. Este trabalho busca estudar, apresentar e discutir o dimensionamento de equipamentos críticos para uma base de distribuição, incluindo Tanques de Armazenagem, Braços de Carregamento para Caminhões Tanque, Dutos, Bombas e uma Pressure Security Valve (PSV) para garantir a segurança contra sobrepressão.
