Resumo: This study aims to analyze the socio-spatial transformations caused by the introduction of touristic activities in the town of Tiradentes, MG, within a temporal context. The town contains an important collection of historical architecture dating back to the colonial period, which has evidenced the opportunity of integration into the tourism market through the thematization of its spaces. Based on a theoretical conceptual framework, the authors discuss issues pertaining to the very formation of the heritage concept in Brazil and its use as a touristic and thematic element. The authors could observe a collaborative process involving various actors pursuing the production of a tourist landscape in the town, especially regarding the changes in the historic central district. In this production, the landscape has acquired different looks throughout the year in order to attract tourists and creating elements which makes it recognized in the tourism market.

A cidade abriga um importante acervo histórico arquitetônico datado do período colonial e tem visto, por meio deste acervo, uma oportunidade de inserção no mercado de turismo a partir da tematização dos espaços. Com base em um resgate teórico conceitual são debatidas questões envolvendo a própria constituição da ideia de patrimônio no Brasil e seu uso como elemento turístico e temático. No contexto da cidade de Tiradentes, sobretudo das transformações ocorridas no centro histórico, foi possível observar, por meio de levantamentos bibliográficos, um processo conjunto envolvendo agentes diversos na busca pela produção da paisagem turística.
