With the scientific and technological development increasingly latent within the Institutions of Science and Technology, the intellectual property theme has gained prominence because it boosts the economy and competitiveness both in the public and private sectors. Thus, this work aims to structure an institutional intellectual property policy for Sidia Institute of Science and Technology. Sidia is a center of Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) located in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, responsible for the implementation of innovative digital solutions to the local and global market through research activities and development. For the development of policies, is necessary search the literature the most relevant materials on intellectual property for a better understanding, identify the latent needs of the Institute in the context of intellectual property and establish guidelines to identify, evaluate and protect innovation. From the initial study, it was possible to structure an intellectual property policy at Sidia.
