Resumo: The need to generate more assertive education system without replacing the traditional elements of education allows big data solutions and data analysis to assist institutions in decision-making processes. These technologies can also make evaluation, feedback, personalized learning, content delivery, management, and problem solving more effective. This work aims to identify technologies for applying the concept of big data in education, through a review of the patent and scientific work. The search for patents was carried out in the databases available in the software Orbit Intelligence, which showed growth in recent years predominantly driven by China and Asian countries in the IPC G06, G09 and H04 categories, While searches for scientific articles related to the subject were made in the bases of the main collections of Web of Science and Scopus and corroborated a diverse application.

Essas tecnologias podem tornar mais eficazes também os processos de avaliação, de feedback, de aprendizagem personalizada, de oferta de conteúdo, de gerenciamento e de solução de problemas. Este trabalho tem como objetivo apontar tecnologias de aplicação do conceito de Big Data como ferramenta de educação, por meio de uma revisão patentária e de trabalhos científicos. A busca por patentes foi realizada nas bases de dados disponíveis no software Orbit Intelligence, que demonstrou um crescimento nos últimos anos predominantemente impulsionadas pela China e Países asiáticos nas categorias IPC G06, G09 e H04.
