At the time of the possibility of starting a new business, either by necessity or by opportunity, technologies that supply knowledge are very promising. In this expectation, the objective of this article is to carry out the prospection of processes and systems that can enable the creation of businesses or adequate monitoring of those that already exist in order to minimize flops. For this, a search was carried out for patents, brazilian and international, characterized by being similar technologies or belonging to the same technological field, which was done from the Orbit platform and from the National Institute of Industrial Property, being also researched the computer program registrations granted in Brazil. It was concluded, among others, by the China's leadership in the world, that there is independent researchers and from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul as potential partners or rivals. Apart from that, the interest of an American company in protecting technology of this nature in Brazil.
