The Use of Technology by the Riozinho Kakumhu Indigenous Community: an analysis of the impacts and the perspectives for education and cultural conservation

Resumo: | Brazil is a country of superlatives, with expressive cultural diversity, and when we approach the richness of the indigenous people and their cultural expressions, this characteristic stands out. The reflections presented in this article point to the analysis of the consequences of the use of technology disconnected from indigenous knowledge and experiences, as at the same time these technological tools can bring acculturation and hope to the native people. Through documentary and bibliographic samples, this work seeks to portray the challenges and opportunities that technology brings to the Akwẽ-Xerente people of the Riozinho Kakumhu community, in the municipality of Tocantínia, state of Tocantins. Exposing the history of the people and their community, observing the importance of the school and education for the local inhabitants, the leadership of teachers in the society, the challenges of modernity and the association of technology for the construction of pedagogical innovation and the maintenance of cultural traditions. |

Por meio de amostras documentais e de bibliográficas, busca-se retratar neste trabalho os desafios e as oportunidades que a tecnologia traz para o povo Akwẽ-Xerente da comunidade Riozinho Kakumhu, no município de Tocantínia, estado do Tocantins.
