This article aims to bring up discussion about copyright and illegal streaming of audiovisual on the Internet. In it, the descriptive research was used. Concepts of copyright protection were also presented in Brazil and worldwide. It was offered conceptualization of what is an audiovisual and your evolution until the emergence of digital formats for dissemination and reproduction scientific about technological progress, legal protection and uses of streaming technology. With the finalization of the text it is possible to conclude that there are numerous cause and consequences to the problem presented, not only in the legal world, but in the entire consumer market, in view of the increasing technological advances and the speed of data exchange. on the Internet, putting some solutions created to combat the rampant use of illegal streaming in audiovisual.
