Technological Prospection of Equipment for Intramammary Administration of Ozone in Dairy Cows

Resumo: The administration of intramammary antibiotics is the most used method in the treatment of mastitis. However, this treatment is developing microbial resistance. With the use of ozone treatments, a favorable reaction in the disease is achieved. In order to assess the current status and the evolution of technologies associated with ozone therapy in mastitis, a technological prospection was carried out, through the search for internationally deposited patents, for the search the European patent bank (EPO- Espacenet®), making use of keywords and IPC codes, and combinations between them. As a result, 56 patents related to the scope of this research were found, which showed that, for the most part, innovation has been carried out in accessories for the application of intramammary drugs, by the countries of the USA and Japan. a drop in terms of patent filing and, therefore, in technology innovation.

No entanto, esse tratamento está desenvolvendo resistência microbiana. Com o uso de tratamentos de ozônio, é alcançada uma reação favorável na doença. Com o objetivo de avaliar o panorama do estado atual e a evolução de tecnologias associadas à ozônioterapia na mastite, foi realizada uma prospecção tecnológica, por meio de busca de patentes depositadas internacionalmente, para a busca foi utilizado o banco europeu de patentes (EPO-Espacenet®), fazendo uso de palavras-chave e códigos IPC, e combinações entre eles. Como resultados, foram encontradas 56 patentes relacionadas ao escopo desta pesquisa, que mostraram que, em sua maioria, a inovação tem sido realizada em acessórios para aplicação de medicamentos intramamários, pelos países dos EUA e Japão.
