Resumo: This study was developed with the objective of presenting a teaching structure aimed at training entrepreneurs of the Federação das Associações Empresariais de Santa Catarina (FACISC) in intellectual property (IP), using documentary research and survey as methodology. Regarding the scope, several documents were collected with information from pedagogical proposals in use in Santa Catarina, considering from technical to graduate education. On the instruments for data collection, questionnaires were used to obtain, directly from Facisc entrepreneurs located in the metropolitan region of Florianópolis, their perception of the importance of IP and what are the main demands of each sector of the economy. The results allowed the elaboration of a proposal of teaching structure, aimed at specifically meeting the demands of Facisc entrepreneurs. The study demonstrated the credibility that entrepreneurs identify in IP to promote innovation and the desire to obtain this training.

Quanto ao escopo, investigou-se diversas propostas pedagógicas que se encontravam em funcionamento no Estado catarinense, considerando desde o ensino técnico até a pós-graduação. Quanto aos instrumentos para coleta de dados, foram utilizados questionários para obter, diretamente junto aos empreendedores da Facisc sediados na região metropolitana de Florianópolis, a percepção destes em relação à importância da PI e quais são as principais demandas de cada setor da economia. Os resultados permitiram a elaboração de uma proposição de estrutura de ensino, destinada a atender especificamente às demandas dos empreendedores da Facisc.
