The Importance of Updating the Legal Framework of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Brazilian States, with a Focus on the State of Amazonas

Resumo: Maintaining the legal framework of science, technology and innovation up to date is an important step in the creation of a regulatory environment that supports the development of an ecosystem of innovation capable of generating local vocations, innovative solutions, research and development, guaranteeing that the state can promote an economy that is sustainable and competitive.  Thus, this article's general objective is the development of a process to update the legal framework of ST&I, with a focus on the state of Amazonas, with  landscape of the current state of public policies with respect to ST&I at the state level.  The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive, and the result is a proposal for the modernization of the legal framework for ST&I in the state of Amazonas.  In applying the proposals from this study, the state has the potential to generate significant income, and be successful by adopting measures to incentivize scientific research and technology which generates innovation and helps form quality human resources.

A metodologia utilizada foi descritiva qualitativa, como resultado, tem-se uma proposta para atualização do arcabouço legal de CT&I do Amazonas.
