Patrícia da Silva SessaDissertação (Mestrado) - Universidade Federal do ABC, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino e História das Ciências e da Matemática, Santo André, 2021.A presente pesquisa trata da formação de professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental com foco no ensino de Ciências e alfabetização científica (AC). De modo a contextualizar histórica e socialmente a formação destes professores, ao longo desta pesquisa buscamos alguns marcos históricos que envolveram a instituição dos cursos de magistério e posteriormente a Licenciatura em Pedagogia, além da obrigatoriedade do ensino de Ciências nos anos iniciais, a partir de 1971. No tocante ao aspecto metodológico, selecionamos seis educadores do Ensino Fundamental I como sujeitos da pesquisa, que tem como problematização: O que se aprende sobre AC na formação inicial chega à sala de aula? De que forma tais práticas docentes atendem à educação científica? De que forma a BNCC é contemplada? Coletamos os dados a partir de entrevistas com os educadores via aplicativo de mensagens e solicitamos sequências didáticas de Ciências, que foram analisadas a partir da Análise de Conteúdo, ao passo que utilizamos como base os eixos e indicadores de AC de Sasseron (2008), as competências gerais/específicas e habilidades da BNCC, além dos conteúdos conceituais e procedimentais dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais - PCN. Como resultados, observamos que mesmo tendo contato com disciplinas científicas, os educadores ainda possuem dificuldades relacionadas ao ensino de Ciências, uma vez que o foco maior está nas disciplinas de Matemática e Língua Portuguesa devido aos exames externos. Apesar disso, a AC é parcialmente contemplada, demonstrando um conhecimento e importância dada a esse tipo de abordagem pelos professores. Apontamos, assim, a necessidade de investimento na formação docente, que potencializem a apropriação e o desenvolvimento dos processos de AC, no campo do ensino de Ciências. Observamos também, no campo histórico da formação desses professores, a ausência de especificação de documentos que tratam desse ensino de Ciências.This research deals with the training of teachers in the early years of elementary school with a focus on teaching Science and scientific literacy. In order to historically and socially contextualize the training of these teachers, throughout this research we searched for some historical landmarks that involved the institution of teaching courses and later the Degree in Pedagogy, in addition to the mandatory teaching of Science in the early years, from 1971 onwards. Regarding the methodological aspect, we selected six educators from Elementary School I as research subjects, whose questioning is: What is learned about scientific literacy in initial training reaches the classroom? How do such teaching practices serve scientific education? How is BNCC covered? We collected data from interviews with educators via message application and requested didactic sequences of Science, which were analyzed using Content Analysis, while we used as a basis the scientific literacy axes and indicators of Sasseron (2008), the general/specific competences and skills of BNCC, in addition to the conceptual and procedural contents of the National Curriculum Parameters. As a result, we observed that even having contact with scientific disciplines, educators still have difficulties related to the teaching of Science, since the main focus is on Mathematics and Portuguese Language due to external exams. Despite this, scientific literacy is partially covered, demonstrating a knowledge and importance given to this type of approach by teachers. Thus, we point out the need for investment in teacher training, which enhances the appropriation and development of scientific literacy processes in the field of Science teaching.
