Resumo: This study aims to put forward some considerations on the Common National Curriculum Base (CNCB) and the Teaching and Learning of Environmental Education (EE) in the field of Professional and Technological Education (PTE). It is a documental study, which involves the analysis of the existing policy texts that regulate EE and the insertion of it in the CNCB, with emphasis on technical and technological education. The CNCB, in terms of High School education, gives autonomy to teaching networks and schools. Young people may choose technical-professional training, within the regular academic workload. It was observed that, in the CNCB, EE is considered an "integrating theme", prevailing in it the division into subjects, with possible reinsertion conditioned to the autonomy of schools. In this context, the CNCB has limitations that should be recognized considering it as a public policy that aims to attend to the interests of all citizens. In technical and technological education there have been efforts to integrate environmental education in many activities and the opportunity to acquire knowledge, however, the great challenge is to develop environmental education and at the same time integrate it with as many subjects as possible, taking into account that the current educational system still reproduces the traditional teaching methodology. For that, thinking about changing this reality, EE should be seen as a way of contribution, so that trained technicians would be, besides good professionals, critical citizens, and aware of their roles.

El procedimiento de investigación ha sido el análisis de documentos que tratan de las políticas que la regulan y de la inclusión de la EA en la BNCC, con énfasis en la educación técnica y tecnológica. En lo que se refiere a la etapa correspondiente a la enseñanza secundaria, la BNCC les da autonomía a las redes de enseñanza y a las escuelas, es decir, el estudiante puede optar por una formación técnico-profesional dentro de su carga horaria. Se ha averiguado en la BNCC que la EA aparece como ‘tema integrador’ y que prevalece la compartimentación en disciplinas, con posibilidad de reinserción condicionada a la autonomía de las escuelas. En ese contexto, la BNCC presenta limitaciones las cuales deben ser reconocidas, una vez que la política pública relacionada al tema pretende responder a los intereses de todos. En la enseñanza técnica y tecnológica hay esfuerzos para integrar la EA en actividades variopintas con el fin de que se construya ese conocimiento. Sin embargo, el gran reto es desarrollar la EA y al mismo tiempo integrarla con el máximo posible de disciplinas, considerándose que el actual sistema educacional todavía reproduce el modelo tradicional de enseñanza. De esa manera, con el fin de cambiar esa realidad escolar, es necesario mirar la EA como una forma de contribuir a que los estudiantes egresados de los cursos técnicos, además de buenos profesionales, sean ciudadanos críticos y conscientes de su papel social.Este artigo traz à cena reflexões sobre a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e o Ensino e Aprendizagem da Educação Ambiental (EA) no campo da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT). O procedimento de investigação utilizado foi de base documental, com análise dos textos das políticas que a regulamentam e da inserção da EA na BNCC, com ênfase no ensino técnico e tecnológico. A BNCC, no que diz respeito à etapa Ensino Médio, dá autonomia às redes de ensino e às escolas. O jovem poderá optar por uma formação técnico-profissional, dentro da carga horária do Ensino Médio. Verificou-se que, na BNCC, a EA está na condição de “tema integrador”, prevalecendo a compartimentalização em disciplinas, com possível reinserção condicionada à autonomia das escolas. Neste contexto, a BNCC apresenta limitações que devem ser reconhecidas em relação à política pública que visa responder aos interesses de todos. No ensino técnico e tecnológico há esforços para integrar a EA em diversas atividades e a oportunidade de construir conhecimento, porém, o grande desafio é conseguir desenvolver a EA e ao mesmo tempo integrá-la com o máximo possível de disciplinas, considerando que o atual sistema educacional ainda reproduz o modelo tradicional de ensino.
