Resumo: This volume that we present here brings the dossier: Education and capitalism in Brazil: classic themes and current problems; there are 12 texts by researchers from all regions of the country, current studies that reveal the current moment of education in the country, organized by the professors of the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina: Ricardo Scopel Velho and Michael Goulart da Silva. Then there are 12 more articles of continuous flow, two from foreign researchers. We hope that our efforts will be useful and enjoyed by the greatest possible number of students and researchers.
