Bibliometric study of scientific fashion production published in area journals in 2017 and 2018

Resumo: | Introduction: fashion conveys our visual identity and is able to determine time, age, work environment, country of origin and musical taste, so it is a very important area. Objective: to know the scientific production in the fashion area. Methodology: quali-quantitative research, which used bibliographic research for theoretical foundation and as a method for data collection, the analysis of citations, enabling the characterization of the area. Results: Gilles Lipovetsky as the most cited author; predominance of individual authorship (70%); high level of title of the authors, where 48% have a doctorate; great concentration of authors in the southern region of the country (45%), being more expressive in São Paulo. The most frequent theme in the articles was design; the average age of citations is less than 14 years; obsolescence is approximately 11 years; the type of document most cited was a national book and/or chapter; the most cited scientific journal was ModaPalavra e-periodical; and, the most used language is Portuguese (65%). Conclusions: bibliometrics, through citation studies, is an important indicator of scientific activity, helps the development of collections and service management for libraries that have the course, and, helps in the organization and systematization of scientific and technological information. |

Objetivo: conocer la producción científica en el área de la moda. Metodología: investigación cuali-cuantitativa, que utilizó la investigación bibliográfica para fundamentos teóricos y como método para la recolección de datos, el análisis de citas, permitiendo la caracterización del área. Resultados: Gilles Lipovetsky como el autor más citado; predominio de autoría individual (70%); alto nivel de título de los autores, donde el 48% tiene un doctorado; Gran concentración de autores en la región sur del país (45%), siendo más expresivos en São Paulo. El tema más frecuente fue el diseño; la edad promedio de las citas es inferior a 14 años; la obsolescencia es de aproximadamente 11 años; el tipo de documento más citado fue un libro y / o capítulo nacional; la revista científica más citada fue ModaPalavra e-periodical; y, el idioma más utilizado portugués (65%). Conclusión: la bibliometría, a través de estudios de citas, es un indicador importante de la actividad científica, ayuda al desarrollo de colecciones y gestión de servicios para bibliotecas que tienen el curso, y ayuda en la organización y sistematización de información científica y tecnológica.Introdução: a moda transmite nossa identidade visual e consegue determinar época, idade, ambiente de trabalho, país de origem e gosto musical, por isso é uma área muito importante. Objetivo: conhecer a produção científica na área de moda. Metodologia: pesquisa quali-quantitativa, que utilizou a pesquisa bibliográfica para a fundamentação teórica e como método para coleta de dados a análise de citações, possibilitando a caracterização da área. Resultados: Gilles Lipovetsky como autor mais citado; predominância de autoria individual (70%); nível alto de titulação dos autores onde 48% possuem título de doutor; grande concentração de autores na região sul do país (45%), sendo mais expressivamente em São Paulo. O tema mais frequente foi o design; a idade-média das citações é de menos de 14 anos; a obsolescência é de aproximadamente 11 anos; o tipo de documento mais citado foi livro e/ou capítulo de livro nacional; o periódico científico mais citado foi ModaPalavra e-periódico; e, o idioma mais utilizado português (65%).
