Resumo: This study exams the meaning that the question about the sense has acquired in the phenomenology of the liberty. Human being`s life starts to be considered as a what do do, how to choose in a situation. The problem is seeing as a direction because the human being always walks beyond his time and as an understanding when the direction is thought as his goal. The Spanish philosopher Ortega Y Gasset is taken as one of the interpreters of the subject and points the implications that the subject has had on the phenomenology psychology, more specific starting at Victor Frankl`s considerations.

Neste trabalho examina-se o significado que a questão do sentido adquiriu na fenomenologia da liberdade. A vida do homem passa a ser considerada como um que fazer, como um escolher em situação. Olha-se o problema como direção pois o homem caminha sempre a frente de si próprio e como compreensão, quando a direção é pensada conforme seu objeto. Toma-se o filósofo espanhol Ortega y Gasset como um dos intérpretes do assunto e aponta-se as implicações que o assunto teve na psicologia fenomenológica, mais especificamente a partir das considerações de Victor Frankl.
