Resumo: This article presents some aspects in which the idea of honesty, in moral philosophy of Eric Weil, is presented as a synthesis of all the duties that must be practiced for moral and political self-achievement of man in modern society. For Weil, man’s ultimate reason - and the historical community’s - is to be happy and to do so, he must be moralized thus he can act politically in a perspective of responsible government.
