From the hunt of witches to the hunt of the effeminate boy: a story of queer memories at school

Resumo: This work discusses memories of a teacher who was an effeminate boy at school. Therefore, it makes use of the author's memories, who is also the subject of the research and the bearer of queer memories. In this context, I narrate my memories and demonstrate its relationship with Queer Theory, in addition to clarifying the negligent way in which the school operated and collaborated in the hunt for effeminate children. Theoretical contribution is sought in Guacira Lopes Louro, Michel Foucault and Judith Butler to discuss the role of the school in the docilization of bodies, in the production of genders, sexualities and subjects in the structures of power.
