Resumo: | This article aims to analyze reflectively a teaching experience report in the context of a postgraduate course in Human Rights Education (HRE), based on the subject Pedagogies and Teacher Formation. The formative processes of the subject started from the principle that science in its hegemonic sense is anchored in positivism and reductionism and has as its core the bias of epistemic racism/sexism. Inspired by approaches that emerge in the context of Améfrica Ladina, but also by French Institutional Analysis and by exploring the intersectional perspective, we argue that teaching and doing science corresponds to a political and social place. Our conclusions point to an HRE connected to the territory of Améfrica Ladina, using as “firewood” experiences emerging from debates’ ignitions, such as race and gender issues, and an ethical-aesthetic-political posture of questioning the hegemonic Western tradition. |
