Sociology of Knowledge and the Documentary Method: qualitative instrument for sociological analysis

Resumo: The sociology of knowledge, according to the elaboration of Karl Mannheim, seeks to understand the worldviews based on the experience of the subjects investigated. For this, the author formulated the documentary method as a research tool acting on these subject groups, which build and indexical expressions that serve as connective elements of knowledge, from the social structure and guide social belonging. Therefore withdraws the interpretation of interviews with the group, with individuals and by observing the direction of action to understand the social reality.

Para isso, o autor formulou o método documentário como ferramenta de investigação destes sujeitos agindo em grupos, os quais constroem expressões indiciais e que servem como elementos de conhecimento conjuntivo, oriundos da estrutura social e guiam o pertencimento social.
