Contação de histórias: análise de recursos e de estratégias utilizadas pelas professoras na educação infantil

Story telling is a very important activity in the cognitive, linguistic and affective growth of a child. For that reason, the objective of this work is to analyze the resources and strategies utilized by teachers and the role of story telling in kindergarden.To achieve these goals, we elaborated interviews semi-structured with three teachers from kindergarden V and observed six sessions of story telling at the school, that were recorded in audio and video, and and later transcripted the pedagogic procedures used by the teachers in the narrative process. The data analysis revealed that: i) The interaction and affection between teacher and child are fundamental, because they play a motivational role in the story telling moment, especially, in regards to the interest and the attention of the child for the narrative. ii) The strategies and resourcers undertaken such as posture, thriller, questions about the story also constituted important elements to the involvement and success of the story telling. iii) The Teacher's creativity and sensibility proved essential to attract the kids, since the children have shown the capacity to take themselves to a imaginary world. Thereby, we believe, based on observation, that story telling needs a bigger place in a kindergarden child routine, and for that it is necessary a pedagogic formation that recognizes story telling as a significative activity, so that it is no longer just a way to pass time and become a tool for development and sensibilization of the child's conscience, being one of the essential means to have quality in the activity.
