Monografia (Graduação em Design-Moda)-Universidade Federal do Ceará, Fortaleza, 2017.This monographic work presents results of the research with the brand of surfwear Girl Style and aims to analyze the concept of the brand, understanding how it attends from the produced pieces, the universe of women surfers, in terms of design, comfort and practicality in practice surfing. The methodology was an exploratory case study, qualitative, documental and bibliographic. The study allowed to study the historical process of the construction of the piece in parallel to the analysis of the importance of surf culture in the process of social recognition of women in sport, which opens a market still little explored by beachwear manufacturers in Brazil.Este trabalho monográfico apresenta resultados da pesquisa com a marca de surfwear Menina Style e objetiva analisar o conceito da marca, compreendendo como ela atende a partir das peças produzidas, o universo das mulheres praticantes do surf, em termos de design, conforto e vestibilidade na prática recreativa do surf. A metodologia foi de estudo de caso de caráter exploratório, cunho qualitativo, documental e bibliográfico.
