Entre pinceladas, versos e biologia: vivências artísticas na formação em licenciatura em ciências biológicas

In the present work, we look at the artistic experiences in the formative path of students and recent graduates in Biological Sciences (degree) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), exploring Art as an experience and its sensitive, emancipatory and educational character in the personal journey and professional of the subjects. The questions that guided the research were: what are the artistic experiences of undergraduate students in Biological Sciences and how do the se experiences reflect on their training? Biologists artists or artist biologists what are the relationships between art and biology from the perspective of biological science students? Why Biology? Can the rescue of Art in the students' trajectory lea d u s to reflect on what brought these students to the Biological Sciences course? To try to understand the questions, we selected eight individuals who express themselves through artistic practices routinely, among recent or conclusive graduates between 20 21. 1 and 2022.1, and we conducted semi structured interviews. We used discursive textual analysis to help understand the transcripts, paths, and phenomena found in the interviews . The results allowed us to perceive that those artistic experiences before an d during graduation are of great importance for the construction of the individual, his personality and his critical thinking about Biology and Education. The University and the Undergraduate Course, despite the excess workload, content and traditional m ethodologies for the m ost part, contribute to artistic and cultural practices and experiences by promoting plural spaces and interdisciplinary experiences inside and outside the UFC. The artistic experiences in the course of educators and future educators seem to provide a more sensitive look at the whole, a connection with the students and a greater appreciation of the singularities of each one and the realities in which they are inserted.
