Listening in the process of teaching and learning of foreign language had its growth from Comunicative Approach which emphasized it as a skill to be worked, considering authentic oral documents and not those made from oralization of readings as in Direct and Audiovisual methods in which priority was given to Grammar and Writing. Based on this hypothesis, the Italian Faculty of the Federal University of Ceará has decided to offer a course that focuses on such skill, contemplating the living language, spoken by Italians for Italians, without concern for teaching. We used the book Primo Ascolto and as extra material, internet videos, music and other fun activities of interest to students were used to complement them with the audio activities and motivate them in their studies of the Italian language and culture.
