The present work aimed to evaluate quantitatively oil and derivatives vessels in the world, whether Oil Tankers, LPG Tankers, Oil/Chemical Tankers, Crude Oil Tanker, Inland Tanker, among other types. The research was limited to oil and derivatives vessels during the last week of August 2017. Marine Traffic, one of the largest vessel monitoring platforms in the world, was used to collect the information, as well as the aid of two other FleetMon and VesselFinder, with the same function. In editing and processing of statistical data, Microsoft Excel and Minitab software were used. A global overview of oil and derivatives vessels was presented in the following requirements: Types of vessels, Nationality, Load capacity, Length of vessels, Positioning during research and Destination. All the data were filtered and edited for a better understanding in this work, since 13157 oil and derivatives vessels were analyzed.
