A formação acadêmica em Secretariado Executivo como diferencial no trabalho de assessoria: um estudo com servidores técnicos administrativos e secretários executivos da Universidade Federal do Ceará

The Executive Secretariat professional has evolved in what concerns his performance and academic formation, which now requires of them, greater responsibilities and different competencies. From this perspective, they possess theoretical knowledge that enables them to develop a profile to work in federal institutions of higher education. However, it is still perceived that the positions destined to professional category are occupied by professionals with graduation in other areas. Therefore, the study has as general objective to analyze the relationship between the specific training in Executive Secretariat and the advisory activities developed by servers of the Federal University of Ceará. Through the following specific objectives: To identify the activities carried out by the Secretaries of the Federal University of Ceará; To verify if there is a parallel between the competences and abilities exercised by the secretaries of the Federal University of Ceará with the National Curricular Guidelines of the Course of Executive Secretariat; To investigate the positives and difficulties encountered by the Secretaries of the Federal University of Ceará; Understand how the academic formation can be a differential in the advisory work of the secretaries of the Federal University of Ceará. The methodology used was qualitative, based on a field research conducted with the administrative technicians and executive secretaries of the Federal University of Ceará, and for the collection of information, documentary and bibliographic surveys were carried out, as well as questionnaires. To analyze and interpret the data, we used content analysis, descriptive statistics and comparative analysis in order to obtain an understanding of the meanings of the data. The results obtained evidenced the achievement of the proposed objectives, identifying the activities, skills, abilities, difficulties and positive points, since the groups of investigated ones recognized that the formation is a differential for the work of secretary in the university. However, it turns out that the professional with specific training is more apt to perform the functions, since through their knowledge they are prepared to face challenges and contribute in the best way to institution.
