Reuni e políticas de assistência estudantil: a perspectiva estudantil sobre as novas possibilidades na Universidade Federal do Ceará

Given the function of government to meet the needs of society through public policies and the function of public universities to ensure ways to students complete the graduation, this work proposes to analyze on the implementation of Student Assistance policies at Federal University of Ceará - UFC in accord to the Support Programme for the Restructuring and Expansion of Federal Universities - REUNI and the National Programme in Suport to Student Asistance - PNAES. To this end, the theory was assessed on Public Management, University Management, Student Assistance, REUNI and PNAES. Then invested in Document Analysis of UFC records between the time immediately prior to the launch of the Programs mentioned and from then until the year prior to the study, 2012. The data showed the high attendance at the University guidelines imposed, execution of the practices suggested both by theory and by the national legislation, but deficiency in policies as transport, childcare and accessibility. The conclusion of the paper suggests the investigation of which Student Assistance services would be useful to the public that UFC assists, improvement of management processes beyond Student Assistance, increment of the backoffice for meeting the growing demand resulting from actions performed successfully due to REUNI.
