Resumo: The complexity of business strategies and interactions of the current market, increasingly demanding, competitive and dynamic brings to the business world important insights on how to gains in terms of price, quality and productivity. In the sector of the dairy industry is no different, for greater profitability based on the market price does not guarantee sustainable returns in the competitive market. The Total Quality Management, a tool that helps the management to competitiveness gains, is aimed at reducing costs, operations optimization and increased productivity. This work has as main objective to evaluate how to reduce the amount of returned products daily in the logistics industry responsible for the delivery of applications to the State of Ceará customers in a dairy company, namely: Companhia Brasileira de Laticíonios S/A. A from the perspective Six Sigma; and specific objectives analyze the problem through quality tools, to identify opportunities for improvement and to implement the Six Sigma program. You must know the historical evolution of quality and relate to quality management with the problem to be presented in the logistics sector; and understand the Six Sigma to identify and solve problems efficiently with unknown causes and negotiations. The research presents descriptive, analytical and quantitative, identifying himself as an action research, documentary and field.

No setor das indústrias de laticínios não é diferente, pois uma maior rentabilidade baseada em preço do mercado não garante retornos sustentáveis no mercado competitivo. A Gestão da Qualidade Total, uma ferramenta que auxilia na gestão para ganhos de competitividade, é a que visa à redução de custos, otimização de operações e aumento de produtividade. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral avaliar como diminuir a quantidade de produtos devolvidos diariamente do setor de logística responsável pelas entregas de pedidos aos clientes do Estado do Ceará em uma empresa de laticínios, a saber: Companhia Brasileira de Laticínios S/A sob a perspectiva do Seis Sigmas; e como objetivos específicos analisar o problema por meio das ferramentas da qualidade, de identificar as oportunidades de melhoria e de implantar o programa Seis Sigmas. É necessário conhecer a evolução histórica de qualidade e relacionar a gestão de qualidade com o problema a ser apresentado no setor de logística; bem como compreender o Seis Sigma a fim de identificar e de solucionar de forma eficiente problemas com causas e tratativas desconhecidas.
