Resumo: This research aims to investigate the poetic and plastic potentialities of the imaginary and symbolic universe of vernacular design through the work of letter painters. For this, it draws parallels with the field of study of Brazilian graphic memory is an important movement within the context of Brazilian design, not only in the sense of rescue but of making possibilities for the future. In addition, through the documents of paintings through urban drifts and the constant experience with letter painters, a whole series of poetic and plastic aspects are organized, finally presented in a series of oil paintings. In this way, the painting presents itself as a tool for openness and interdisciplinary dialogue with design, allowing a whole sensitive universe to reveal itself through its practice. Thus, the graphic designer's commitment to landscape production and the importance of a creative technique that is questioning and sensitive is reinforced.

Para isso, traça paralelos com o campo de estudo da memória gráfica brasileira como um importante movimento dentro do contexto do design brasileiro, não só no sentido de resgate, mas de fazer pensar possibilidades de futuro. Além disso, por meio da documentação de pinturas através de derivas urbanas e da vivência constante com os pintores de letras, organiza-se toda uma série de aspectos poéticos e plásticos que são enfim desdobrados em uma série de pinturas a óleo. Desta forma, a pintura apresenta-se como uma ferramenta de abertura e de diálogo interdisciplinar com o design, permitindo que todo um universo sensível se revele através da sua prática.
