Resumo: | Since we were born, we are evolutionarily able to recognize faces (DARWIN, 1872; SACKS, 2010; LEONE, 2018). The failure of this cerebral faculty would compromise our survival by separating ourselves from the groups to which we belong (SACKS, 1997; CYRULNIK, 1995) and exposing us to the hostility of the environment. Despite the importance of facial recognition from a biological point of view, we have historically modified our faces - voluntarily convulsing the relationship nature x culture. If time and lived experiences are factors of facial transformation said natural, the gesture of intentionally modifying the face asserts itself as a political (AGAMBEN, 1996) and a historical gesture; since it is a volitional act. This article discusses the relationship between face, makeup and screens. I share the thoughts of H. Belting (2007; 2015), who, in his iconology, understands the image as an inseparable element of his relationship with the body and the media. Thisarticle is part of research between face and media. |

Thisarticle is part of research between face and media. Compós2021-02-01T14:46:08Z2021-02-01T14:46:08Z2020info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObjectapplication/pdfREINALDO, Gabriela Frota.
