Resumo: The practice of street running has been growing in recent years, many people find in the race an easy and affordable way to change to a healthier lifestyle. However, in the same proportion increases the number of injuries resulting from this practice. There are several factors associated with the occurrence of injuries, knowing how to define more efficient training programs, looking for specialist professionals, how to deal with the types of injuries, ranging from diagnosis to return to training are effective measures when added to reduce the occurrence of injuries. The general objective of the study was to analyze the occurrence of injury in street race practitioners; To know the prevalence, type, mechanism, place of treatment and the use of technical guidance were specific objectives. The methodology used was the application of the referred morbidity survey adapted to the Google Drive form, made available through a link to the street runners. In addition, two more questionnaires were used: sociodemographic and technical guidance, to achieve the objectives of the study. A total of 148 study participants answered the survey, 65 were male and 83 females. There was a prevalence of 59% (88) of injuries in the corridors and women were the most affected with 53% (47) of the cases. Tendinopathy was the most evident injury 18.2% and the place that suffered the most injury was the knee 23.3%, in addition to the endurance race that generated the most injury 51.1% of the cases. Runners were between 15 and 45 days apart in about 29.5% of cases of injury. Of the 148 runners, 123 (83.1%) had technical guidance typified by sports advisors with 85.4%. However, 87.5% of runners with injuries had technical follow-up. However, 92.3% of the street runners found orientation to be indispensable. Thus, the street race is undoubtedly an accessible means for a sport practice, however, the prevalence of injuries is high, one should always look for trained professionals in all areas involved to reduce injuries, knowing how to deal with the occurrence of injuries is a means of building new actions, both in the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of each amateur or professional athlete.

Silva, Carlos Alberto daRodrigues, Dennis Alves2022-02-18T18:11:47Z2022-02-18T18:11:47Z2019info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisapplication/pdfRODRIGUES, Dennis Alves.
