This report show us a study based on the changes with the adoption of a new regulation, which will introduce a new manual for the Energy Efficiency Programs of electricity distribution companies. The sustainable development has been the main reason for concern with the efficient use of electricity. Influenced by this scenario the Ministry of Mines and Energy in partnership with ANEEL created a new manual that aimed at extending the results with the Energy Efficiency Programs already exist, these results are set out in the PNE, PDE and PNEF. The report was written succinctly and concisely, in order to expose the changes and improvements that new manual will bring to the Brazilian society and the Brazilian Electric System. As a source of research, we used the Manual for elaboration of the Energy Efficiency Program - MPEE, Proceedings of the Energy Efficiency Program - PROPEE, National Plan for Energy Efficiency - PNEF, National Energy Plan 2030 - PNE 2030, among others. The study also aims at evaluating the economic viability and energy of energy efficiency projects, analyzing the pros and cons of the changes with the replacement of the manuals, contributing to the reduction the electricity consumption and reduction of peak demand, resulting in postponement investment expansion and infrastructure of the Brazilian electric system.
